📓 The Mir Reflection Journal
$16.00 flat $5 US shipping • free shipping on orders over $40
Every week, our Weekly Practices page and our Sunday email hand you one small prompt — what are you grateful for, what are you carrying, what would you do if the week were kind? For years, readers answered those prompts on the backs of envelopes, in phone notes that vanished, on the margins of church bulletins. The Mir Reflection Journal exists so those answers finally have a home with a spine.
The structure is gentle, because we don't believe in homework. Each week gets one prompt page — a short reflection question at the top (the same spirit as the ones in the weekly email) with room to answer badly, briefly, or brilliantly — followed by lined free pages for everything else: lists, worries, letters you won't send, the good sentence you heard at the bus stop. Fifty-two prompt pages in all. Miss a week? The journal does not tut. It waits. It's a journal, not a gym membership.
The ritual we recommend is the one in the photograph: Sunday evening, one candle lit (the Serenity Pillar is this journal's oldest friend), ten unhurried minutes with the week's prompt. Do that for a season and something quietly remarkable happens — you end up with a written record of your own year, in your own hand, proving on paper that you were paying attention to your life. Very few sixteen-dollar objects can do that.
It's for the readers who already love the prompts; for anyone starting a new chapter (it's half of our favorite fresh-start gift, alongside the New Beginnings Tapers); and for the person who "isn't a journaling person" but might be a one-page-a-week person. Your journal arrives handwrapped, with its quote card tucked inside the cover: "Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year." — Ralph Waldo Emerson. Page one, sorted.
